Sixth Week of Teaching

Week 7 was interesting because it was full of a lot of things. The School´s Art Festival finally took place, so kids were very hyperactive talking about everything that happened on it. Then, I planned an activity about table manners for 3rd grade in order to help teacher Flori as she requested. The idea was that I supposed to present the vocabulary and make them work on the book, and later she will continue with a role play with a puppet named Carlos. The activity was a huge success. I brought some tableware of plastic, and I pasted them on the board while they had to identify and color them on the book. Later, my mentor teacher introduced puppet Carlos and started teaching kids how they have to behave on the table. I really love every time she uses puppets because lessons become so fun and dynamic.
During this week I also had the opportunity to work with 1st and 2nd grade on topics related to animals. I planned a very fun activity that I used for both, but I will explain more details on the next post.
